Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini says that whatever view the majority wants, that should govern.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini states that a political movement should inscribe this statement in gold at the entrance of their activities: ‘It is very important to me that you like me, but not as much as my beliefs. If you are to like me without my beliefs, then I am no longer myself.’
There is no fault in someone whose opinion is favored by the majority one day, and then another day they turn away from this favor, only to return after some time. The transfer of power is natural.
It’s not that whatever everyone says, we must say the same. We should promote our own words, but at the same time, say that whatever view the majority wants, that should govern. It doesn’t mean I have to say exactly what the majority says.
For this reason, parties should not be swayed by trends and should not be caught in their waves. They should believe in themselves, stand by their beliefs, and express them.
