The entities responsible for the delay in paying teachers’ salaries have been identified: the Budget and Planning Organization, the Administrative Organization, and the Ministry of Education.
Three governmental bodies in Iran, including the Budget and Planning Organization, the Administrative and Employment Organization, whose heads are both deputies to the President of Iran, and the Ministry of Education, have been declared responsible for the delay in paying teachers’ salaries.
The Education and Research Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in a report released today, April 4, 2023, has declared these three entities responsible.
According to this report, the Budget and Planning Organization is blamed for irresponsible performance and failing to consider the damages caused by delays in enforcing the law and not understanding the critical role of teachers in the country. The Administrative and Employment Organization is blamed for improperly drafting the executive regulations of the law and prolonging the implementation of teacher ranking.
In this report, the Ministry of Education is also held responsible for incorrectly calculating the deductions from teachers’ March salaries.
