The CEO of the Tehran and Suburbs Metro Operating Company has stated that the issue of selling metro tickets with cash will be resolved by the first of Ordibehesht according to the promise of the Information Technology Organization.
Recently, some Afghan immigrants residing in Tehran have complained on social networks that they were not sold metro tickets with cash, and they had to wait and ask an Iranian to buy tickets for them with their card.
Afghan nationals who cannot obtain tickets are allowed to pass through the gate with the cooperation of metro staff.
According to ISNA, Masoud Dorosti, the CEO of the Metro Operating Company, confirmed that some Afghan nationals cannot purchase electronic metro tickets because they do not have a bank card.
