Azari Jahromi's Reaction to the Controversial Snapp and Tap30 Case: It's Been a Business Effort, But Ethics in Business Also Matters

Azari Jahromi’s reaction to the controversial Snapp and Tap30 case: It was a business attempt, but ethics in business is also important.

Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi wrote on his Telegram channel:

Honestly, in my opinion, what happened, although it was a business attempt, these days ethics and business have a special place in the world. Snapp did not use any special privileges in this case, but its effort in requesting a ride and taking up the driver’s time, depriving them of a potential commercial trip, in my view, raises ethical discussions and challenges.

Certainly, a smarter and more targeted advertising strategy or offering more attractive proposals to Tap30 drivers could have been a better solution that Snapp did not use because the smart advertising industry was not strong enough at that time.

Ultimately, Tap30 also had a weakness in not providing features such as secure calls and protecting its sensitive commercial information, probably due to the cost overhead, which it decided to forgo implementing. It’s something they are trying to improve these days.
