The Continuation of Women’s Civil Struggle with the Launch of Police’s Swift Operation
Images released from the alleys and streets of various cities in Iran show that women, despite the launch of the police’s swift operation to combat improper veiling using advanced technology and equipment and cameras, have appeared in public without hijabs and wearing their preferred attire.
Social networks today, Saturday, April 15th, are filled with images of women who, by declaring their identity and posting their pictures, have stated that they are aware of the consequences of appearing unveiled in the streets but continue to insist on openly opposing the compulsory hijab.
The released images show women without headscarves, mostly wearing blouses, pants, and skirts, with styled hair that is no longer hidden by shawls and headscarves.
According to the latest reports from domestic news websites, the Law Enforcement Force of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province has employed 4 observers to monitor women’s veiling, whose activities include sending text messages to drivers, denying services to them, sealing businesses, and ultimately referring shopkeepers to judicial authorities.
