Eid al-Fitr Message from Taliban Leader: Countries Should Not Interfere in Our Internal Affairs

The Taliban leader, in his Eid al-Fitr congratulatory message, has stated that it is in the best interest of Afghanistan and other countries not to interfere in our internal affairs.

The comprehensive 14-point Eid message from Hibatullah Akhundzada, the Taliban leader, released on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, emphasizes the non-interference of the international community in Taliban governance. It states that just as Afghanistan does not wish to interfere in the internal affairs of any country, it emphasizes that other countries should also refrain from interfering in our internal affairs, as doing so is beneficial for both the world and Afghanistan.

While the Taliban government’s confrontation with the United Nations over women’s employment has led to the house arrest of other employees and the temporary suspension of some humanitarian activities in Afghanistan, the Taliban leader has emphasized that the responsibility for Afghanistan’s development lies with the Afghans themselves, and we should not rely on others.

He particularly emphasized that, in this regard, national traders and investors in the country have more obligations than others, and the Islamic Emirate of the Taliban will fully cooperate and assist them.
