Disclosure of top secret documents

According to Iran Gate, Jack Texera, a 21-year-old National Guard from Massachusetts suspected of leaking Pentagon information and living with his parents in North Dayton, was arrested by the FBI and appeared before Judge David Hennessy in a Boston court.

If Jack Texera is found guilty, he could face a 20-year prison sentence, 10 years for each of the two separate charges he is accused of. Currently, the judge has decided that he will remain behind bars at least until the next hearing next week.

This young man in the Boston court is accused of violating espionage laws, especially in unauthorized possession and transfer of national defense documents and information, as well as unauthorized deletion of classified information and related matters of security and national defense.

The FBI arrested the blind mouse of the Pentagon.

A blind mouse who revealed many confidential secrets about the war in Ukraine and instances of espionage in Washington through social media, both from allied countries and from its own enemies, has now become a face. A 21-year-old American soldier serving in the United States Army in the National Guard Intelligence Division in Massachusetts, who is passionate about war video games and is heavily influenced by conspiracy theories and distrust of the government, Jack Texira was arrested on April 13 by federal agents.

He is the leader of a small online group called Thug Shaker Central, consisting of 20 to 30 gamers, who are known to be the main instigators of recent scandals. The members of this group, most of whom are also very young, are not all US citizens, but also include Russian and Ukrainian citizens.

Joe Biden, the President of the United States, who was on a trip to Ireland, had previously referred to the imminent progress in the investigations into what the Pentagon calls a criminal act. The identity of Texira was revealed by The New York Times, citing various sources including police forces and document and photo analysis.

This young soldier is a part of the 102nd Intelligence Wing and was promoted to the rank of Airman First Class in July 2022. His current base, where he works the night shift, is in Cape Cod. It is still unclear how he gained access to such important documents, although experts believe insufficient controls and automatic email forwarding are among the main factors contributing to this information leak.

Undoubtedly, this case concerning US security agencies will raise debates and discussions among the three million authorized officials who hold security clearances. The use of social media will be a topic of contention.

Exclusive news from The Washington Post

The first news about the information leak was published by The Washington Post, which conducted a lengthy interview with a very young member of the Thug Shaker Central group.

This 17-year-old boy explained how the confidential maps and files, some of which were redacted and had pictures taken of them, became accessible in the group’s online chat on the Discord platform. This platform has a total of 19 million servers and 150 million global users, many of whom operate anonymously.

The distribution of classified documents and records was carried out by the group leader, who was described as a charismatic individual. He was known by the nickname OG, a person who works in a military base where he has access to classified files. The Washington Post reported that this user account was subsequently verified by another member of the group. Additionally, the Times also interviewed three other members of this group online.

A hardcore gamer with an excessive interest in video games.

Based on conducted interviews, it has been revealed so far that these young people have virtually met each other on video game websites during the COVID-19 pandemic and decided to form a small group of individuals with shared interests. The common interest among all members of this group was an excessive passion for video games, weapons, and military strategies. However, in their group chat, they also shared messages related to rituals, religious ceremonies, and racist ideologies. Nerd is a term used to describe individuals who are usually intellectual and introverted, with obsessive thoughts and an excessive interest in specific subjects.

In virtual conversations, Texira always had a negative and pessimistic view towards the government, considering it responsible for oppression and suppression, and calling it a liar. Texira expressed a willingness to educate and inform the group about world facts and events.

It did not seem that his motivation was clear espionage goals or political missions, like well-known whistleblowers such as Edward Snowden. One of the young members of the group explained to the Times that he is a Christian and anti-war, and wanted to inform his friends about what was happening.

If someone in the group did not pay attention to the documents shared by Texira, they would get angry. Texira had been engaged in this activity for over six months, with no information leaking from the Tag Shekar Central Loop until recently, when one of the participants started reposting this information and documents on popular YouTube channels, video game websites, social media, and even Telegram in Russia.

The scandal that shook the Pentagon.

This leak and information breach has shaken the Pentagon and diplomacy. The leaked classified documents provided an intelligent and up-to-date assessment of the war in Ukraine. It also revealed data and information about potential attacks on Kiev, the depth of US intelligence penetration into the Russian army and armed forces, and classified information about sensitive internal discussions with allies such as South Korea regarding the supply of Ukraine’s arsenals.
