The representative of Arak in the Islamic Consultative Assembly says that the filters in the country should be identified

Representatives of Arak in the Islamic Consultative Assembly should be identified as the proponents of internet filtering in the country.

Mr. Asafari has criticized internet filtering in Iran and stated that filtering does not solve the problem. He also mentioned that if we filter, the money goes into the pockets of filter breaker sellers, and these individuals currently have substantial incomes.

While supporting restrictions on the internet and monitoring foreign platforms, this representative of the Islamic Consultative Assembly has also advocated for a domestic and internal internet.

He has also stated that no one has information about the sellers of circumvention software. Mr. Asafari said that he asked the Minister of Communications about the supervision of filter breaker sellers, who receives their incomes, where they are sourced, and what taxes they pay. In reality, it is not possible for the government to filter on one hand and have filter breakers on the other.
