Nasser Pakdaman, an economics professor, has passed away
Dr. Nasser Pakdaman, born in 1311, was an economist and researcher in politics and culture. In recent months, he had been battling cancer. He passed away early this morning in a hospital in Paris.
He completed his higher education in France and taught at the University of Tehran before the revolution. He had left-leaning views from a young age and was one of the founders of the National Organization of University Students. After the revolution, he was expelled from the university and forced to leave the country. He continued teaching at the University of Paris in France and produced numerous writings in the fields of politics and culture during his exile in Paris. Nasser Pakdaman actively participated in protest movements against the Islamic regime through his writing and speeches.
