Others have been convinced of Iran’s stance on Syria in a meeting with Bashar al-Assad

Raisi has convinced others during his meeting with Bashar Assad about Iran’s position on Syria.

In his meeting with Bashar Assad, Ibrahim Raisi defended Iran’s position in the Syrian civil war and stated that those who had doubts about Iran’s stance, political position, opinions, and views on Syria have been convinced that this position was just and fair.

Bashar Assad also stated that it has been proven that the common viewpoint of Damascus and Tehran is based on correct and solid foundations of values, principles, beliefs, and, most importantly, the interests of the people, national sovereignty, and independence.

He referred to Syria’s government support for Iran during the eight-year war with Iraq and stated that Tehran did not hesitate to support Damascus in a similar manner during the Syrian civil war.
