Ibrahim Raisi's Approval of Increasing Surveillance Cameras

Ebrahim Raisi’s agreement with the increase in surveillance cameras

While media close to the Islamic Republic have recently claimed the use of artificial intelligence to identify women without mandatory hijab, the Commander-in-Chief of the police force says that Ebrahim Raisi has agreed to increase surveillance cameras.

Ahmadreza Radan, on Friday 25 Khordad, stated that the enforcement of dealing with the discovery of hijab through cameras is underway, and the police have requested the government to increase the coverage of surveillance cameras. The President also agreed with this issue and hopes that funds will be allocated for this matter soon.

The increase in surveillance cameras following the protests has been seen as an effort to control protesters and opponents.
