A new report by two Russian media outlets, Protokol and Arzort, reveals details of preparations for the production of Shahed drones in Tatarstan, Western Russia.

In a joint investigation, these two media outlets report that a complex covering an area of 40,000 square meters in Alabuga has been allocated for the production of Shahed drones and will expand to 100,000 square meters upon completion.

According to an unidentified source, who claims to have seen letters signed by the Russian Defense Minister, the necessary financial resources for purchasing drone technology from Iran have been approved. The source states that these letters will soon be sent to Vladimir Putin’s office for signing.

While the Islamic Republic government continues to deny providing military support to Russia, it is estimated that Shahed drones have accounted for approximately 60% of the weaponry used by Russian forces in air strikes against Ukraine in the past three months.
