Reza Saghati and Ali Chep Asoulgarayan

Reza Saghati and Ali Chep Asoulgarayan, according to Iran Gate, did not make the slightest change in the reactionary and fundamentalist positions of the extremist and super-revolutionary Asoulgarayans towards the hijab, despite a major scandal that occurred in the Gilan Province Guidance Office. Although if such a major scandal had occurred during the reformist government, there would have been groups dressed in shrouds on the streets of Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad, seeking to dismantle the President and the Minister of Guidance.

Reza Saghati, the dismissed director general of Islamic Guidance in Gilan Province, who is close to Vahid and Saeed Jalili, did something with the Asoulgarayans that perhaps no one believed. No one believed that the extremists in a province that had the most confrontations with unveiled women and even created many obstacles for businesses would face such a great disgrace. But what’s interesting is that for about a week now, I have been hearing from the media, but not the slightest sound has been heard from government officials and prominent figures of the Stability and Super-Revolutionary movement.

Greetings to the Jalili brothers

Reza Saghati’s position in his management field and his activities on social networks clearly demonstrate his strong affiliation with the super-revolutionary movement. Additionally, there have been images circulating on social media showing Saghati receiving accolades from prominent figures, leaving no room for doubt.

Therefore, the ultra-conservative super-trend movement cannot escape the burden of this scandal. What is even more concerning is the fact that Vahid Jalili, who is the spiritual father of Saghati and the Saghati brothers, is currently working as a strategist for the national broadcasting organization. This scandal has not only affected the Jalili brothers but has also implicated a significant portion of the executive, legislative, and governing institutions, including the Revolutionary Guards, the national broadcasting organization, and others. These institutions, which are unprecedentedly and uniformly under the control of the super-revolutionaries, have no more excuses to evade responsibility.

From Saeed Tousi to Reza Saghati

When Saeed Toosi’s case became public and the public became aware of this great scandal, the conservatives exhibited exactly the same behavior as today. However, the difference is that there was no concrete and explicit evidence of his sexual assaults on children and adolescents in Toosi’s case. But in the recent case involving the director of the Guidance Office in Gilan province, the situation is completely different. The video that was released of him in official media and social networks caused the issue to be completely exposed in the public eye.

Therefore, the conservatives can no longer use the strategy of escaping forward against the revolutionaries and taking the lead in Toosi’s case. In fact, the publication of a short film by Reza Saghati has completely changed the playing field, and escaping forward is no longer possible.

The double standards of the super-revolutionaries

The strange silence of the judiciary and also the government officials, including Ebrahim Raisi, in the face of this great scandal suggests that the conservatives most likely intend for this case to be subject to the passage of time in a way that the public forgets about this scandal and becomes generally aware of other issues, leaving this matter in oblivion.

Meanwhile, the judiciary has hastily and unprecedently formed courts and issued death sentences for young individuals who had set a trash can on fire in the worst possible way on the streets, such as Mohsen Shokri and Majid Reza Rahnavard, in a strange and unprecedented manner. However, in cases where the verdict is clear and the position of Shia jurisprudence is completely evident, there has been no slightest reaction from the judicial authorities of the country.

This behavior, which indicates the existence of a double standard in the positions of the fundamentalists, sends a signal to the society that the fundamentalists intend to temporarily avoid the issue and pass by it quietly. However, as mentioned, this case has many significant differences with the Saeed Tousi case, especially since it is intertwined with the issue of hijab and is approaching the anniversary of the murder of Mahsa Amini in the detention of the Tehran Moral Security Police. Security institutions are preparing themselves to suppress protests.
