Alireza Zakani’s Strange Act at Journalist Day Ceremony

HamMihan: Alireza Zakani, the Mayor of Tehran, held a ceremony in honor of Journalist Day. In this ceremony, besides Amin Tavakolizadeh, the Deputy of Social and Cultural Affairs of the Municipality, he also invited Touraj Farhadi, the Mayor of District 19, to speak about illegal constructions.

This is while on Sunday, Tehran Municipality carried out an improper demolition of illegal constructions in the Khalazir neighborhood of District 19, which led to a building collapse incident that claimed the lives of 5 Tehran citizens.

If this incident had occurred in any other country, the minimum response would have been the resignation or dismissal of the district mayor, but Zakani allowed the District 19 mayor to give a speech in appreciation.
