BRICS Leaders Agree to Iran's Membership in BRICS

BRICS leaders have agreed to Iran’s membership in BRICS.

BRICS leaders have reached a consensus on the mechanism for various countries to join BRICS.

According to Kasra Naji from Sandton in the suburbs of Johannesburg, South Africa, starting from January next year, six countries—Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Argentina, Egypt, and Ethiopia—will officially become members of BRICS Plus.

The BRICS leaders’ summit, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, is being held in the Sandton area of Johannesburg’s suburbs.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘I believe that with the entry of these countries, we will bring more energy into the organization.’

Dozens of other countries are lined up to join this group.
