Dariush Mehrjui’s killer: I was owed 30 million tomans by him

Confessions of Mehrjui’s killer and former gardener: After being arrested due to the Mehrjui family’s complaint, I held a grudge against them. They didn’t forgive me over a vacuum cleaner, and when I was released, I went to them and asked for the 30 million tomans they owed me, but they denied it.

When I saw they weren’t willing to pay my money, I planned their murder. On the night of the incident, my brother, who is a caretaker at one of the villas in the complex, and two other friends who also work in the complex, and I went to Mehrjui’s villa.

When he opened the door, I attacked him and hit him with a stick. My brother and friend went to the room and grabbed his wife. First, my brother held Mehrjui’s wife’s hands, and my friend stabbed her with a knife. When she became unconscious, my brother also attacked her with a knife. I also stabbed Mehrjui with a knife.

Mehrjui’s former gardener had been fired and imprisoned several years ago for stealing a vacuum cleaner from Mehrjui’s house.
