Spain's prosecutor requests 9 years of imprisonment for Deni Alves

The Spanish prosecutor has requested a 9-year prison sentence for Dani Alves.

In their indictment against Brazilian footballer Dani Alves, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a young woman, the Spanish prosecutor has asked the court to sentence him to 9 years in prison.

Former Barcelona player Dani Alves has been in temporary detention at a prison near Barcelona since January. The date of his trial has not yet been determined.

In their indictment, the Spanish prosecutor has also requested that Dani Alves pay a fine of 150,000 euros to the victim of this case. In another part of the indictment, the court has been asked to impose a restraining order on Dani Alves, prohibiting him from approaching the victim of this sexual assault case.

40-year-old Dani Alves is accused of sexually assaulting this young woman in the restroom of a nightclub in Barcelona last year. While he denies these allegations, he claims that he had a consensual sexual relationship with the young woman. However, the former Barcelona player has changed his account of what happened between him and the young woman several times.
