The point-to-point inflation rate for food has increased.

The Statistical Center of Iran has announced an increase in the point-to-point inflation rate for the food and beverage group in the month of Aban.

According to the center’s report, among food items, red meat has recorded an inflation rate of over 82%, followed by various types of fish with an inflation rate of 724%, the highest inflation rate for food items in the second month of autumn.

The point-to-point inflation refers to the percentage change in the price index compared to the same month of the previous year.

The point-to-point inflation of 392% for households in the country means that, on average, households have spent 392% more than Aban last year to buy a set of the same goods and services.
