Tehran requests friendly cooperation from Kuwait regarding the Arash gas field.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the final statement of the 44th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council summit in Doha, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers any claim regarding these islands as interference in its internal territory and territorial integrity, and strongly condemns it.
Nasser Kanani added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized friendly and constructive cooperation in the energy sector, including in the Arash region, based on its bilateral negotiations with the Kuwaiti government and its negotiation history. Undoubtedly, behaviors based on considering common interests and benefits can provide suitable grounds for regional cooperation.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that the missile capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are within the framework of a transparent military doctrine based on deterrence and the preservation of national security. The Islamic Republic of Iran has always adhered to its international laws and obligations within the framework of rights and duties, and continues its constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency based on the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
