The demand of students is exactly what the people of Iran have wanted for centuries

The desire of students is what the people of Iran have been wanting for centuries.

Sadeq Zibakalam, a university professor, said that the desire of students is the same as the demands of society: advocating for free elections, freedom for political prisoners, freedom of choice in wearing hijab, freedom of the press. These are the things that a majority of the people of Iran have been wanting for centuries.

My recommendation to students and young people, especially those in the 1980s, is to remember that the virtual space is very good and has been a revolution, but do not neglect books and studying alongside the virtual space.

Zibakalam was idealistic and believed that if the monarchy was overthrown, Iran would become a paradise.

Our generation was somewhat naive but had high hopes. The current generation is not naive but unfortunately, it is disillusioned.
