Britain sanctions 7 real individuals for their connection with Hamas
The British government announced on Friday that, in coordination with the United States, it is imposing sanctions on seven real individuals connected to Iran due to their association with Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
David Cameron, the British Foreign Secretary, regarded this action as a response to Iran’s destabilizing actions in the region. He stated that Iran’s behavior is an unacceptable threat to Britain and its allies.
The British Foreign Secretary also added that Tehran threatens the people on British soil and destabilizes the Middle East through supporting armed groups, including Hamas.
As a result, the assets of the seven sanctioned individuals will be blocked in Britain, and their entry into the country will be prohibited.
Previously, the United States had also imposed sanctions on these individuals for providing training to Hamas forces.
