Specialized Anesthesia Crisis in Iranian Hospitals
The head of the Iranian Society of Cardiac Anesthesia, referring to the shortage of specialized anesthesiologists in the country, stated that there has been no interest in the field of anesthesia in the past three years, and more than 70% of the capacity in the field of anesthesia during the residency program remains vacant.
Currently, we are facing a specialized anesthesia crisis in some hospitals in Tehran, which can have serious consequences for the health of the country.
Unfortunately, the desire to migrate among anesthesiologists is greater than other medical specialties, because this field holds a very special and high position in many countries around the world, both in terms of social status and income, which is much higher than Iran.
