If there are no elections in the country, the leader of the Islamic Republic is either a dictatorship or chaos and turmoil

If there are no elections in the Islamic Republic, it is either a dictatorship or chaos.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, says about the elections of the Guardian Council and the Parliament in Iran that some people complain about holding elections, they become discouraged and do not pay attention that if there are no elections in the country, it is either a dictatorship or chaos and insecurity. Elections prevent the emergence of dictatorship, chaos, unrest, and insecurity.

According to IRNA, Mr. Khamenei has said in reference to the elections in February of this year that the words ‘republic’ and ‘Islamic’ are both dependent on elections. Republic means people’s rule, which means the governance of the country is in the hands of the people, and there is no other way but elections.

Ali Khamenei, without referring to a specific group of critics and opponents of elections in Iran, has said that discouraging people from elections is detrimental to the country. The solution to the country’s problems is elections.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, in his remarks today, did not mention the disqualification of prominent candidates from recognized political factions such as reformists. He has called for high participation in the elections for the Islamic Consultative Assembly in several speeches this year.

In the presidential election of 1400, the voter turnout was 48%, and the invalid votes accounted for 13%, which is the lowest voter turnout and the highest rate of invalid votes in the history of presidential elections in Iran. In the eleventh parliamentary election, the voter turnout was 42.57%, which is the lowest voter turnout in the Islamic Republic.

The twelfth round of the parliamentary elections, along with the sixth round of the Assembly of Experts elections, will be held on the eleventh of Esfand this year.
