A Driver Attacked Hossein Asghari with Brass Knuckles

ISNA News Agency reported that Hossein Asghari, a veteran Iranian cyclist, was attacked by a driver during training and sustained an eye injury.

Hossein Asghari explained the incident, saying that he was training with a few other cyclists on the Qaemshahr military road. Two cars were passing on the same road. The driver sprayed pepper spray at me and Pouria Yaghoubi, another cyclist, and then hit my eye with brass knuckles.

ISNA also published a photo of the cyclist showing bruising around his eye.

Mr. Asghari stated that the driver has currently fled, and he is pursuing the matter.
