Diesel burning in Shazand power plant halted, protecting the environment

The use of diesel fuel in the Shazand power plant has been stopped

The head of the Laboratory Affairs Department of the Central Environmental Protection Organization announced the cessation of diesel fuel consumption in the Shazand thermal power plant

Alireza Morabbiyan stated that out of the four units of the power plant, two units have been converted to gas and one unit is undergoing major repairs

He added that another unit has also been taken out of production due to the lack of gas fuel allocation and the sealing of diesel fuel

Due to the imbalance in gas supply, the Shazand thermal power plant has been forced to use diesel fuel since December 11th
