Israel’s attack on a villa in the port of Baniyas, Syria

Following Israel’s attack on a villa on the coast of the port of Baniyas, Syria, at least three people, including a member of the Revolutionary Guards, were killed.

The Daneshjoo News Agency introduced this member of the Revolutionary Guards as an advisor and reported his identity as Reza Zarei. Simultaneously, a video of the news of Reza Zarei’s death being delivered to his family has been released.

According to the French News Agency, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in the UK, has announced that on the morning of Friday, March 1st, three massive explosions destroyed a villa in the center of the coastal city of Baniyas in northwest Syria, located on the Mediterranean Sea.

This source stated that the villa had sheltered a group affiliated with Iran.

Sky News Arabia also reported, quoting the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that the targeted villa had recently become a place of movement and residence for Revolutionary Guard commanders.

Rami Abdulrahman further stated that because this area is not a zone of influence for the Islamic Republic, those who frequented the villa believed that being in this area could keep them out of sight.
