Sajjad Aghaei, the golden runner of Iran, says he doesn’t have money to buy shoes for the Asian competitions.
Sajjad Aghaei says he is preparing himself for the Asian Championship but needs new shoes and hopes the Athletics Federation will solve this problem.
The 18-year-old Iranian runner, who won gold in the 400m indoor Asian Championship, is currently preparing himself for the Asian Youth Championship but needs new shoes and better facilities.
Sajjad Aghaei referred to his situation before the competitions and stated that he has been training outdoors for a week. The selection competitions will be held on March 14th, and the Asian competitions will be in April.
Aghaei continued, ‘After winning the gold in Asia, my motivations have multiplied, and I need to make more effort because I want to bring a medal for Iran. I dedicate myself 100% to the competitions.’
This runner, who needs new shoes for the Asian Championship, said, ‘I ran in the Asian competitions with torn shoes. Now I don’t have shoes for the Asian Youth Championship. The cost is 23 million Tomans, which I cannot afford. I hope the Federation will help me solve this problem.’
