Mohammad Taghi Akbarnejad, a critic cleric, was released on bail.

Mohammad Taghi Akbarnejad, a critic cleric of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, who was detained on 28 Bahman, stated in an audio message circulating on social media that he has been released on bail.

Previously, in a phone call from Qom prison, which was shared on social media as an audio file, he had mentioned being charged against and held in solitary confinement for confession.

Before his detention, videos of him criticizing the leadership and government were widely shared on social media, demanding addressing injustices and the people’s situation in Iran first before dealing with the oppressed in other countries.
