A fishing boat went missing in the Persian Gulf

The governor of the city of Deyr, a part of Bushehr, said that the disappearance of a fishing boat with one crew member in the Persian Gulf within the waters of this city has been reported, and a helicopter has been dispatched to find this fisherman.

Younes Barborz, referring to the disappearance of a fishing vessel with a crew member in Deyr, said that some fishermen leave the dock to fish without checking the weather conditions, which causes problems for them when the Persian Gulf becomes turbulent.

He added that according to received reports, 72 hours ago, a fishing boat with one sailor went to sea from the port of Deyr to fish and has not returned since.

The governor of Deyr emphasized that since last night and after confirming the non-return of this fisherman, a rescue vessel was dispatched to the sea, but due to the stormy conditions of the Persian Gulf, no trace of this sailor has been found.

Barborz continued that today, in coordination with the deputy governor of the province, a helicopter has been dispatched from Bushehr for search and aerial patrol in the area.
