Toumaj Salehi's Account: Toumaj's Court Held Virtually

The account of Tomaj Salehi states that his court session was held virtually.

The account of Tomaj Salehi, an imprisoned artist critical of the Iranian government, on the social network X announced that his court session was held virtually.

He added that for the charges of spreading falsehoods and inciting violence, there was no legal or substantial evidence, and the session ended with Tomaj’s strong defense of his positions.

It was further explained that if the court acts independently, the only verdict should be Tomaj’s acquittal and release.

Tomaj Salehi is currently serving a one-year sentence in Isfahan prison following the verdict for his latest charges.

This conviction is related to a case that was filed against him after his re-arrest on November 30, 2023, shortly after his release from prison.

Last year, Tomaj Salehi’s arrest faced widespread reactions, and calls for the release of this Iranian artist were made worldwide.
