Varamin Candidate Disqualified After Victory

The candidate from Varamin was disqualified after winning

The spokesperson of the Guardian Council said that the election in the Varamin, Pishva, and Qarchak constituency has gone to a second round, and the votes for Mehdi Zamani Afshar have been annulled.

He stated that based on Article 65 of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Law and the review of documents and reports received, the second-place candidate, Ali Khazaei, and the third-place candidate, Hossein Noshabadi, have advanced to the second round.

Accordingly, and as officially announced by the Guardian Council, the 30,463 votes for Mehdi Zamani Afshar have been annulled and he has been removed from the election process.
