Assistant Minister of Interior: Restaurants are not allowed to operate before Iftar.

The Deputy for Security and Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Interior stated that some restaurants and cafes are absolutely not allowed to provide services before Iftar, and operating with covered windows is not valid.

Majid Mir Ahmadi mentioned the activity of some restaurants during the holy month of Ramadan and providing services in person, adding that according to the teachings of Islam, pretending to fast is forbidden, and there are penalties in Islamic penal law for those who pretend to fast.

He emphasized that restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and food vendors inside the city are absolutely not allowed to operate before Iftar, and the idea that they can provide services by covering windows and creating concealment inside the premises is not valid. There is no such permission, and if anyone mistakenly thought they had permission in this regard, it is invalid.

Mirahmadi emphasized that unions and guilds do not have the authority to issue such a license, and naturally the police should also control illegal activities in these places. If such a violation exists, these places should be dealt with according to the law.
