Britain and America Accuse China of Widespread Cyber Attacks

Britain and the United States have accused China of widescale cyber attacks.

The British government has blamed China for a cyber attack that led to the release of information of millions of Britons. At the same time, the US Department of Justice and the FBI today announced that millions of user accounts of citizens were targeted in a Chinese hacker attack.

The cyber attack on the British Electoral Commission occurred in August 2021, but was disclosed to the media last year.

It is said that several British parliament members who are serious critics of Beijing were targets of these attacks.

In August 2023, the Electoral Commission confirmed these attacks, stating that unidentified actors infiltrated the voter registration center to access emails and control systems.
