Tasnim demands the resignation of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan for conducting an interview with an unveiled female reporter.
The interview of Abbas Musavi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Azerbaijan, with an unveiled female reporter inside the Iranian embassy has sparked protests from Tasnim news agency.
This media outlet has reported that the publication of a photo from this interview has faced many negative reactions from supporters of Iran and the Islamic Republic.
According to Tasnim, since this interview took place inside the Iranian embassy, legally, the interior of an embassy of any country is considered as the soil of that country in terms of regulations and laws.
The news agency continues to mention that officials of our country’s embassies can, and it is better to say they should, observe the Islamic customs of Iran.
Tasnim writes that the unveiled female reporter, and worse, with an appearance even lower than the official modest dress code of women in countries where hijab is not a legal obligation, has appeared in this conversation, which is considered a form of insult to the internal norms of Iran.
