A member of the Health and Treatment Commission does not have a proportional economic status with their services in health and treatment

A member of the Health and Treatment Commission believes that the economic situation of society does not correspond proportionately to their health services.

Abdulhossein Rouh al-Amini, a representative and member of the 11th Parliament’s Health and Treatment Commission, said in an interview with Jannatabad program on Tehran Radio that as a representative of the health and treatment sector in the parliament, he is responsible for tasks such as regular participation in the expert meetings of the Health and Treatment Commission and discussing issues related to pharmaceutical industries, medical equipment, vaccines, training of medical staff, and presenting expert opinions in the parliament.

The official in charge of the Health Committee of the province and Tehran city in the 11th Parliament, referring to the supervisory role of the Health and Treatment Commission, stated that during the year, several comprehensive reports were prepared on the Drug Reform Plan, reducing costs borne by the people, not imposing additional costs on them, and following the specialized work on the drug supply chain, procurement, production, and distribution.

He stated that the economic situation, healthcare, and the health of our country do not proportionately match those of other social classes. He emphasized the need to compensate for these deficiencies, noting that many payments to this group are delayed. For example, pharmacies purchase drugs and powdered milk in cash from the distributing company and provide them to consumers at government-set prices. However, months later, they will receive the difference from insurance.
