The US House of Representatives is voting on aid to Israel and Ukraine.
House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Tuesday that separate bills to aid Ukraine and Israel will be voted on this week in the House, following months of delay.
The US Senate approved a $95 billion aid package in February, including significant funds to help Ukraine defend against Russian military aggression, and also to support Israel and Taiwan.
Johnson, who leads the majority Republican House of Representatives, had previously prevented the bill from being voted on in the House despite repeated requests from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and pressures from the Biden administration.
During this time, Russia was able to reorganize its forces using the opportunity provided by the delay, and Ukraine suffered its first major setback after months due to a lack of supplies.
