Washington Post: Russia Provides Weapons to Strengthen Defense Systems Against Possible Israeli Attack on Iran

The Washington Post reports that Russia is providing arms to strengthen defense systems against a possible Israeli attack on Iran.

The American newspaper Washington Post, citing some intelligence officials, wrote that Moscow and Tehran’s cooperation to enhance the capabilities of both countries is increasing.

The newspaper recalls that in March of last year, a Russian arms company invited a 17-member Iranian delegation on a VIP tour to buy from its factories. Visitors were hosted with lunch and cultural shows and on the last day, they visited the factories that produce Tehran’s favorite products, advanced air defense systems for shooting down aircraft.

It is unclear whether the Iranian visit to these factories directly led to purchases or not.

In 2022, Iran gave thousands of drones and missiles to Russia to use them in the war against Ukraine.
