A UN expert says Gaza’s health system has been completely destroyed.
After 200 days since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, a UN expert says the war has completely obliterated the healthcare system in this strip.
Tlaleng Mofokeng, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right to health, told reporters in Geneva that just a few days after the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, irreparable damage was inflicted on the healthcare infrastructure in this region.
She further stated that amidst relentless Israeli bombing, healthcare centers in Gaza have been operating for months under crisis conditions, providing services to patients and the injured despite very limited access to medical equipment.
Ms. Mofokeng, emphasizing that this war targeted the right to health from the beginning, stressed that the healthcare system in Gaza has been completely destroyed.
