The Russian Defense Minister stated that Russia and its allies should increase military maneuvers in Asia.
Sergei Shoigu, the Russian Defense Minister, said on Friday, April 26, in a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) that Russia and its allies should expand their joint military exercises in Asia because they are facing direct threats from the United States’ efforts to expand their security influence in the region.
The meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is being held on the eve of the capital of Kazakhstan. Russia, India, China, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan are members of this organization.
The Russian Defense Minister emphasized in the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization that the deployment of military infrastructure in the region by the United States and its allies is unacceptable and should be considered as a direct threat to the stability of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
