Lufthansa has extended the suspension of its flights to Tehran until May 10.
Lufthansa Airlines has extended the cancellation of its flights to Tehran until May 9. The airline will also not use Iranian airspace for flights towards Asia until further notice.
Following Iran’s threat to attack Israel and the actualization of this threat, Lufthansa suspended its flights to both countries. The suspension regarding Iran was supposed to end on April 30 but has now been extended for another 9 days.
Lufthansa stated in announcements on Tuesday, April 29, that the safety of passengers and crew of its aircraft has always been the highest priority.
The announcement also mentions that Lufthansa relies not only on government data but also on its own independent assessments to estimate the current security situation and makes decisions based on these evaluations.
