Narges Mohammadi to be Tried Again in a New Case

Narges Mohammadi is once again being tried in a new case.

Mostafa Nili, Narges Mohammadi’s lawyer, announced in a message on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that the hearing for his client’s new case will be held on Sunday, May 20th, in Branch 29 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Tehran. He also reported that the charge against his client is propaganda against the regime.

Narges Mohammadi, a human rights activist, had previously been sentenced by the Islamic Republic’s judiciary in five different convictions to a total of 12 years and 3 months in prison, 154 lashes, 4 months of community service, 2 years of travel ban, exile, and other political and social deprivations.

She has spent 10 of the last 14 years in prison.
