The TV Host for Debates Has Not Been Finalized Yet by IRIB

The host for the televised debates has not yet been finalized by the broadcasting organization.

The head of the production and technical center of the broadcasting organization mentioned the preparation of studios and television sets for creating election programs and debates, while speculations about the debate host continue.

Baqer Haji Seyed Rezaei, the head of the production and technical center of the broadcasting organization, stated that the process of preparing election sets and studios is ongoing so that, simultaneously with the announcement of the presidential candidates’ names, which is said to be from June 12th, the lottery ceremony and election programs will start their work by determining their order through the lottery.

Regarding the selection of the television debate host, he added that there are options, but we have not yet reached a conclusion, and nothing is finalized. Most of what is being said is media speculation.

The host of the election debates in the years 2021, 2017, and 2013 was Morteza Heidari, which was broadcasted from Channel One. However, currently, the possibility of him hosting the program seems unlikely.
