Netanyahu: We are ready for strong action on the Lebanon border
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, said today during his visit to the Lebanon border that Israel is prepared for powerful action in the north to ensure security there. Hezbollah has stated that it is not seeking to escalate the conflict but is ready to respond if a war is imposed on them.
Limited and almost daily clashes between Israel and Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, have been occurring since the early days of the war in Gaza, raising concerns over the past months about a full-scale war. Since two nights ago, following Hezbollah’s rocket attacks on northern Israel, large fires have broken out in those areas, adding to the fears of another war.
In the latest development, Benjamin Netanyahu, who visited Israel’s northern borders today, warned that those who think they can harm us without us responding are mistaken.
We are ready for decisive action in the north, and we will restore security to the north no matter what.
