The Judiciary Spokesman: Saadabad’s Rugs Found in Government Agencies

Asghar Jahangir, the spokesman for the judiciary, in response to a question about the latest status of the case regarding the theft of Saadabad Palace’s rugs, stated that a case has been filed in the relevant judicial authority, and individuals have been summoned as informants, and preliminary investigations have been conducted. He continued, some of these rugs, which were claimed to have been stolen, have been found in government agencies, and from this perspective, the issue of theft has not essentially occurred. The matter is that, without following legal procedures and regulations, there has been negligence, which raises the suspicion of theft.

The judiciary spokesman expressed hope that with further follow-ups, appropriate actions will also be taken regarding the remaining rugs. This matter is being pursued legally according to the law, and at the same time, if negligence has occurred, it will be determined what the result has been and communicated to the public.
