He added that republishing and distributing a series of fake polls or fabricated results, which are disseminated through unofficial channels and whose origin is unknown, concerning elections or candidates, or publishing content against candidates, such as defamation, slander, insult, and spreading false or unethical information about candidates’ privacy, is a crime. The head of the Cyber Police emphasized that publishing content related to bribing, encouraging, or threatening individuals to buy and sell votes, or publishing content to create fear and intimidation for those who want to vote, as well as publishing content about vote results, vote counting, and election results outside of authorized sources, are the main points that users should pay attention to when encountering such news and content, and they should refer to official news sources.
