Abbas Abdi: My estimate of the minimum participation is 55 percent.
Abbas Abdi, journalist and researcher, referring to the results of a survey about the level of participation of Tehran residents in the presidential elections, reported the emergence of a dormant wave of participation in the elections.
Abbas Abdi said, ‘My estimate of the level of participation is a maximum of 60 percent. If it exceeds this amount, it will be extraordinary, but I don’t think the participation rate will be less than 55 percent. If participation is less than 55 percent, it will not be considered a success for the government.’
In recent days, Abbas Abdi, journalist, analyst, and researcher, discussed the results of a survey conducted by the Persh Institute on the X network in messages that referred to the participation rate of Tehran’s people in the elections. According to the results of the mentioned survey, the predicted definite participation rate in Tehran is 142, the doubtful rate is 169, and the non-participation rate is predicted to be 688. Abdi stated in these messages that Tehran’s engine hasn’t heated up yet and that the upcoming week will be warmer.
He continued, ‘The statistics of the undecided, based on the survey and charts, according to what is mentioned in the survey text, are significant. Therefore, the proportion of the undecided is still high and requires advertising and logical justification for participating in the elections. In other words, there is an ethical barrier in front of them. Therefore, I think considering the importance of the elections, this ethical barrier will gradually diminish.’
