Verdict Issued for Suspects in the 1401 Prison Fire Case in Evin Prison

The verdict for the suspects of the 1401 arson case in Evin Prison has been issued.

Iranian Human Rights News Agency has reported the sentencing of 4 suspects in the 1401 arson case in Evin Prison to a total of 33 years in prison and 518 lashes.

According to this report, Branch 1148 of Tehran Criminal Court has issued this verdict based on charges such as property destruction, disrupting prison order, and defiance of orders, despite the suspects denying all these accusations.

The report further adds that this verdict was issued by Branch 1148 of Tehran Criminal Court under the leadership of Judge Jabar Javadi-Ram on Thursday, 30 Khordad, sentencing Luqman Aminpour, Meysam Dehbanzadeh, and Majid Roshannejad each to eight years and eight months in prison and 148 lashes, and also Reza Salmanzadeh to seven years in prison and 74 lashes.
