Sadegh Zibakalam: We should vote for Pezeshkian

Sadegh Zibakalam, a professor of political science at the University of Tehran who has been in detention recently, has taken a 5-day leave to treat his cancer.

Today, I saw Mr. Zibakalam in the courtyard of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Tehran. He had come to pick up some documents and books, and he was holding a CT scan image.

I asked Mr. Zibakalam if he voted while in prison. He said yes, in the first round, he voted for Ghalibaf because he believed Ghalibaf could stand against Jalili, unlike Pezeshkian.

But in this round, I will vote for Pezeshkian.

I asked Mr. Zibakalam if I could share this conversation. He said, ‘Go ahead, say it. If Jalili wins, we’ll have to search for Ahmadinejad with a flashlight.’
