The first election debate between Masoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili after the elections went to the second round will take place tonight.
According to the public relations of IRIB, Saeed Jalili was designated as candidate number one and Masoud Pezeshkian as candidate number two based on a draw. Their participation in debates and their programs will be broadcast according to the announced numbers in the election headquarters schedule on IRIB.
IRIB has planned for two debates, two documentaries, and two live programs during the one-week campaign period for the fourteenth presidential election. The candidates’ TV programs will be aired on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11th to 13th of Tir.
On Tuesday, 11th of Tir, only the debate is scheduled for broadcast, with the first debate at 21:30. The second debate between the two candidates who advanced to the second round will be held on Wednesday, 12th of Tir, at 21:30.
The fourteenth presidential election was held on Friday, 8th of Tir, 1403, with the presence of four candidates, none of whom secured an absolute majority in the first round.
Campaigning is prohibited on Thursday, 14th of Tir, and the second round of elections will be held on Friday, 15th of Tir.
