The head of Tehran City Council says changing the mayor of Tehran is not true

The head of Tehran City Council denies the validity of changing the mayor of Tehran.

The head of Tehran City Council stated that there is no discussion about changing the mayor of Tehran and said that rumors about someone else taking over the mayoral position are not true. A formal complaint has been filed against the person spreading these false rumors on social media.

Mehdi Chamran, on Monday at the 249th session of Tehran City Council, among reporters, dismissed the rumor of the first deputy of the thirteenth government, Mohammad Mokhber, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, and some others taking over the mayoral position. He added that there will be no changes in the urban management system, and Alireza Zakani will continue his work vigorously.
